John Hannaford

John served on the Main Board of London based M.W. Marshall & Co Ltd, formerly one of the world’s largest wholesale money market brokers. Having joined the company in Dublin in 1979, John moved to Asia Pacific in 1982 and progressed his career to become responsible for all of the Group’s activities in the region. In 1989, John and other senior partners orchestrated a leveraged buy out of the Company from its then parent (British & Commonwealth Holdings) for £120 million which was the largest MBO in the city of that year. Following the sale of the Company in 1998 John retired to the Channel Islands but returned to Ireland in early 2000 where he became a non executive director in a number of diverse companies. Having been introduced to energie’s Chief Executive in mid 2006 and having immediately been impressed with the Company and its offering John became a significant investor and full time Director in early 2007.
Seán Ormonde
Director, energie Ireland
Seán Ormonde is a Director of energie Fitness Clubs Ireland Ltd with responsibility for Marketing and Legal matters. He graduated from University College Dublin in 1998 with an honours degree in Business and Legal Studies. The following year he completed a Masters Degree in Marketing at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business in Blackrock. Seán is a qualified solicitor and practiced for a number of years in Waterford City before becoming part of the energie team. Having worked on all aspects of the law Seán specialised in Conveyancing, Commercial Contracts and Franchising Law. In 2004, Seán established a small group of day spas and wellness centres which now has seven outlets throughout Ireland including Waterford, Cork, Dublin and Limerick. Projected turnover for that group in 2007 is expected to reach 2 million. Seán first met Jan Spaticchia in August 2006 before combining with John Hannaford and Mike Ormonde to acquire the Master Franchise for energie Fitness Clubs in the Irish market.
