Jan Spaticchia, Chairman, Chief Executive

Jan is Chief Executive and Co Founder of The energie Fitness Group, taking responsibilty for the overall development and strategy for the business. Jan was formerly the Founder and CEO of HiLife Holdings Plc, which he firmly established as one of the fastest growing young health club brands in the UK market between 1999 and 2001. At it’s peak and prior to Jan’s departure, the business was valued at over £12m. A well respected industry professional, Jan has presented at major events all over the world and trained and advised some of the UK’s leading leisure operators, including Relaxion PLC, Livingwell, SLM, Marriott Hotels and The Raquets & Healthtrack Group. Jan was a Finalist in the 2002 UK Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, sponsored by Vodafone.

David Beattie
Group Brand & Marketing Director

One of the founders of the energie Group, David has led the development of the brand and has been instrumental in the success of the group. He is also responsible for new product development within the energie group and is the creative force behind the marketing, brand development and recruitment targeting both new members and franchisees in the UK and Internationally. David has a wealth of experience in the sector going back to the late 1980s, when he joined David Lloyd Leisure, later opening his first private club with Jan in 1995. He returned to David Lloyd Leisure as Group Commercial Manager in 1996 where he was responsible for Partnership marketing, Brand leverage, Sponsorship and commercial income. David went on to establish a successful leisure marketing consultancy and online marketing solution, before jointly founding energie fitness clubs in 2003.

Nick Harding
Financial Director

Nick is the latest member of the Board, a qualified Accountant who brings a wealth of financial experience to support énergie Groups growth aspirations. Having previously formed part of the Executive Management Team of a rapidly growing Plc., Nick brings considerable commercial experience that will prove invaluable.

Mark Lemmon
energie Group, Managing Director

Mark has joined the energie business bringing a wealth of experience from the business, retail and franchise world spanning 13 years. Mark was CEO at Cash Convertors for over five years taking the business from 90 to 150 stores during which he achieved record levels of profit and introduced new income streams including an exciting online auction and a corporate division. Mark has an outstanding record of providing business consultancy to major high street brands with a combined portfolio of 1,300 retail outlets in the UK and abroad. He has served as treasurer to the National Pawnbrokers Association for two years which represented over one thousand pawnbroking units in the UK and still provides valuable advice to numerous pawnbroking chains.

Innes Kerr
Group Club Operations Director

Since graduating from Leeds Carnegie in 1983, Innes has spent the ensuing 26 years working in the health and fitness industry. Serving his apprenticeship as a gym instructor at Fitness For Industry he graduated through club management, equipment sales, contract management, multi-site operations and sales and marketing. Most notably Innes has worked with Technogym, The DeVere Group, Fitness First and the Fitness Industry Association. Responsible for supporting the Direct Franchise clubs within the energie group, Innes applies his skills and experience to drive brand standards, operating procedures, training and product development.
